Weird and wonderful things ahoy on planet Smikkelbaard!

Being a contrarian beast, we've decided to put out a seasonal LP. Not Christmas, oh no, that wouldn't be right. Too many dudes- Elvis, Phil Spector, Rufus Wainwright, even Terry Wogan have made Xmas LPs. I mean, hot dang, daddy-oh, there's one from - wait for it - the National Jazz Orchestra of Scotland being bandied about trendy dining rooms as we speak.

Nope, we're offering something darker, more mysterious, more Dutch...

Artists from all over NL have decided to literally throw their hard-won reputations into the bin and record tracks for the Sinterbaard and Smikkelpiet LP.

None of that gauche bullshit about fuckign angels here: no we're talking more earthy concerns. When Von Braun's Wymer & Ben sing about enjoying eating sweets they fucking mean it. it's the only time in the whole year they actually get to eat.

And setting aside the PC shitstorm around Zwaarte Piet for one second, these are tracks about what being young, hopeful and being vaguely aware of the possibilities of a liberal stable society could bring. Could someone remind me of them again?
