Philip K Dick once remarked, those who the Gods notice, are destroyed. Well Smikkelbaard want the Gods to butt out of our affairs. Not content with being bankrupted (and having to raise a benefit LP to pay off our 25 euro Excelsior records bill for the first label market), Smikkelbaard has a naming issue with a cat. As in a real life cat. The only other fucking thing in the world called Smikkelbaard (which is either translated ...as a really bad gum disease cows get or - more, ahem, inventively - a gourmet beard.... anyway we digress) is the cartoon adventures of a real life cat from Belgium, called Arthur, whose alter ego is Kapitein Smikkelbaard. I mean, the chances??

Anyway we think Arthur looks real cool, and in an act of NL-BE friendship we're going to release Arthur on Smikkelbaard; with his own release number. And maybe a release party. Fucking move over Anthony H Wilson, your time is up in the dada release stakes; Cellotape? schmellotape. We have a real life cartoon hero cat.
